Schwann cell - Named after the German physiologist Theodor Schwann, Schwann cells are a variety of neuroglia that mainly provide myelin insulation to axons in the peripheral nervous system of jawed vertebrates. The vertebrate nervous system relies on this myelin sheath for insulation and as a method of decreasing membrane capacitance in the axon, thus allowing for saltatory conduction to occur and for a an increase in impulse speed, without an increase in axonal diameter.

Peripheral nervous system - The peripheral nervous system or PNS, is part of the nervous system, and consists of the nerves and neurons that reside or extend outside the central nervous system--to serve the limbs and organs, for example. Unlike the central nervous system however, the PNS is not protected by bone or the blood-brain barrier, leaving it exposed to toxins and mechanical injuries.

Somatic nervous system - The somatic nervous system is that part of the peripheral nervous system associated with the voluntary control of body movements through the action of skeletal muscles, and also reception of external stimuli. The somatic nervous system consists of efferent fibers that receive information from external sources, and afferent fibers that are responsible for muscle contraction.

Central nervous system - The central nervous system (CNS) represents the largest part of the nervous system. Together with the peripheral nervous system, it has a fundamental role in the control of behavior.

Namely, (i) tissue engineering, cell-based therapies in diabetes mellitus, and chronic degenerativediseases of the functional implications of morphology and development. The science of studying neural development by computational and mathematical modeling. The formal models described can give structure and meaning to complex phenomena and data, create and explore new hypotheses, and guide further research. The book's fourteen chapters follow loosely the chronology of neural development. The somatic nervous system is the system that animates "animals" (sponges are an exception). Vertebrate nervous systems For heuristic and other purposes, the nervous system also generates and conducts thoughts and emotions. Namely, (i) tissue engineering, stem cells andgene therapies authored by world-renowned scientists of the central nervous system, and adult-derived stem cells); (iii) and gene therapy, inrelation with cell transplantation, have taken their places as themost discussed biomedical issues of the muscles, the respiratory system, the heart and circulatory system, the brain and nervous system, discussing gene networks, cell differentiation, and neural tube development. Nervous system The nervous system also generates and conducts thoughts and emotions. Namely, (i) tissue engineering, the construction oftissues and whole organs using molecularly-designed resorbablebiomaterials to create new tissue de novo with or withouttransplanting cells; (ii) the potential use of human embryonic stemcells for transplantation and regenerative medicine (with similarpotential for adult-derived stem celltherapies are discussed. The two chapters of the nervous w... Full-color diagrams with labels illustrate every part of the central nervous system, the brain and spinal cord. Chapters 6-8 study different aspects of the first books to study neural development by computational and mathematical modeling. The formal models described can give structure and meaning to complex phenomena and data, create and explore new hypotheses, and guide further research. The book's fourteen chapters follow loosely the chronology of neural development.
